Work for Ms.Bartell.

After I did work in my father's company, I felt very comfortable, I felt completely finished, but time passed to April, I noticed that I had to do another 10 hours volunteer work, so I found the chance to do the volunteer work.

First 2 hour I taught English to the East Bejing road Primary School, it was very tough thing. First, I had to know what to teach, and had to teach correctly, otherwise, if they had test about things that I taught them, their mark would go down. Secondly, when we were teaching them, my partner's student, and my student were talking, and spoke loudly, my friend and I felt very uncomfortable, at last, we taught the pronunciation English word, and finished the English exercises.

Last 8 hours, I did volunteer work for Ms. Bartell, when Chinese students did the Chinese exams from April 21st to 23rd, and 28th, I did many things. First day, I made 10 points degrassi junior high quizzes in order. it were very tough work, because I had to be careful, otherwise, I could put the paper incorrectly, then other students could be crazy, and mad to me, I was afraid of this. It took me 3 hours to put the paper in order.Second day, I had to finished it, because I didn't finish the last class, 10-E, on first day, after that, I went to the office, and I did the things that Ms. Bartell asked me to do. First few things were took a water bottle to the office and erase all the old notes on the small white board in front of office door. Second thing was open the computer, and correct the schedule of parents meeting, it was easy.

Third day, I did the blog check, and cut the grade paper for other classes, except my class, Ms. Bartell didn't tell me my grade either!!!! I was very sad, and curious. However, blog check was very easy; I only had to click the blog address of every class, and write notes that whose blog titles were wrong. There were many blogs title wrong, some of them wrote Chinese, and some of them didn't wrote the ......'s blog. I hated cut the grades paper.Last day, I wrote the out of 10 on the job shadow papers, and I inserted the 2 point vocabulary quizzes on Ms.Bartell's computer, at last, she and I correct if there were some thing wrong, that I inserted the points on her computer.

In conclusion, from this volunteer work I felt and learnt many things, first I felt very tired when I did put all the paper in order, I had to run around and put the paper, and I had to be careful. I felt very fun, because when I was working in the office, Mr. Zalba, and Ms. Morgon were talking about sports meeting, and they said something that I could not heard. I learnt that to be a teacher, what I should have to do, and characteristics, such as teacher should be very patient, because to be a planning teacher, Ms. Bartell actually has to cut many things, and plan all kinds of things. Also, I learnt that teacher should be very hard working, when I finished volunteer work at 6:00pm, Mr. Zalba, and Mr. Gallineli, and some other teacher were not going home, they were hard working, they were planning what to teach next day, this was what I learnt most.

GCA Fashion Show!!!

GCA fashion show was on April 27th, it took place in front of Nanjing Foreign Language School library, it started at 6:00 pm. There were no Chinese classes after Canadian classes, so there were 3 hours spare time, I didn't know what to do, and some students told me that fashion show couldn't be write in portfolio, so I was regret that buy a ticket for fashion show, and I wanted to go home, but my friends, this is a good chance to watch foreign fashion show, and models, there are no fashion show like this in Nanjing, they persuaded me to go to see fashion show, we went to KTV at first, and spent 3 hours there.
At 6:00 pm, Erik, Denise, Giselle, Claude, Cherry and I arrived at fashion show, at that time; fashion show had already started 10 minutes.Models were very beautiful, especially, teachers’ clothes, such as Mr. Shapour wore the cloth which astronaut, and Ms. Chu wore the dress, she was very beautiful. Other students were also very beautiful, we saw clothes which we designed, we were very happy. Fashion show finished very quickly, it only spent 50 minutes, we were so excited, and we took pictures with models.
In conclusion, I like this performance, because I never seen this kind of fashion show before, also, clothes were designed by us, we had to go to see. I hope to be a model next year fashion show!!! I will lose weight as much as I can!!!

Cooking

On April 11th, Saturday, I went to school for cooking a western food with classmates and teachers. It started at 9:00 am, when I arrived at school, there were many classmates already arrived. I was in a group with Sky and Mrs. Beath, we had to make pudding, and jello.
When we started to making food, Mrs. Beath asked some students go to buy the materials for food, student from 10-B and I went to Times grocery on YunNan road. We went to there by No.11 bus, we bought the jello and the vanilla sauce for pudding, we went to back to school, it cost 1 hour, and cost 65 RMB for material.
When I came back, they already made the pudding. We made the the jello, first put a cup of hot water in the bowl, put the jello powder, at last put a cup of cold water, and put this into fridge for one hour. Also, we made the mango juice; we put the milk and mango in the mixing machine and mix it for 5 minutes.
After 1 hour, we tasted the pudding, it tasted good very soft, and I could taste milk and butter. I also tasted other groups’ food, such as cookies, cakes, it was taste good, and I could taste chocolate. In conclusion, from this chance, I learnt how to cook the western food, I will cook pudding what I learnt to my mother, I was happy, and it was fun.
